After a long winter, two ferrets lollygag on the sunny grass at City Park, Denver, Sunday 26 April. For more on Ferrets as pets: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferret

Fluid Cafe

On my way back home from City Park, I stopped at the Fluid Coffee Bar, 501 E. 19th Street, one of the coolest cafes in Denver. This is a favorite hangout for people living in Uptown.

Bare Trees

Bare trees of early March line a bike path opposite the East High School athletic field. These trees were smart not to bloom too soon. We've had three snow storms since this photo was taken. It's been a hard winter.

East High School at Sunset

East High stands at the entrance of City Park in Denver. Its architecture is clearly based on that of Independence Hall in Philadelphia. Last weekend, while I was watching an HBO series on the life of John Adams, they cut to a scene outside of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, and I gasped."It's East High!" The resemblance is remarkable.

Art Room Window

On a cool day in early March, evening sunlight makes a still-life of the East High art room.
