Getting from Denver to Breckenridge by bus is simple: One buys a $35 round-trip ticket to Frisco at the Greyhound station in downtown Denver, then enjoys a scenic one-hour ride up I-70 through the Eisenhower Tunnel and hops off at Frisco Station. Frisco Station, in turn, serves as the central hub of the Summit County Stage system, which provides free transport to every ski resort in the county: Dillon, Silverthorne, Keystone, Copper Mountain and Breckenridge. If one boards the bus from Frisco to Breckenridge, one pays nothing -- it's a free ride and it takes only 20 minutes to reach Breckenridge Station (above), located at the north end of Main Street. On this particular morning, I decided to take the bus from Breckenridge to Frisco in order to explore the bike path that circles Lake Dillon.
