Every June the city of Denver holds a chalk art festival in Larimer Square, a trendy downtown shopping district. Because the local boutiques and cafes want to keep the sidewalks open the artists must use the streets, which are blocked off for two days. Because some of the artists use media other than art, the chalk art fest has morphed into a "Street Painting Festival." Add some fine wines and the result is one very beautiful weekend.
